On Sunday, March 8, from 9:30-10:30 am, in Fellowship Hall - our District Superintendent, Dr. Mitch Reece, will be here to talk about the upcoming General Conference and respond to questions we might have. This will not be a debate on human sexuality. It will, instead, be a time to receive information and ask questions. Don't forget the time changes on this Sunday: "Spring Forward."

Beginning Monday, March 2, from 12:00-1:00 pm, in Culp Chapel - we invite you to join in prayer and meditation for General Conference 2020. It will be a come-and-go time with Jordan Butler on-hand to provide music. Those who cannot be present may still join in prayer from wherever you are. Please pray:

  • For the United Methodist Church, for its lay members, clergy members, local churchees and extension ministries.
  • For the delegates to General Conference (Lisa Buffum is a lay delegate). Pray for their wisdom and openness to the Holy Spirit.
  • For the bishops and all who will be presiding over the session.
  • For the mission of the United Methodist Church across the world.
  • For the hospitality of Christ to guide our holy conferencing.
